Adaptational Differences Edit

  • Some scenes from the manga were cut or rearranged.
    • For example, the flashback arc involving Miden, Dyo, and Ekato was completely removed from the anime, whereas Atsali's introduction was brought forward.
  • Other times, scenes were added.
  • In Episode 6, scenes were removed that featured Ginshu, Nezu, Ro, and Urumi and her friends. The anime also cut scenes that established that Kanae was Ro's mother, and that Kuchiba was a father.
  • In Episode 7, Liontari cuts down a girl that escaped in the manga.
  • In Episode 8, scenes were added with Shikon, Shikoku and Kicha.
  • In Episode 9, parts of Kuchiba's flashback involving Sumi were cut. One character was shot in the show before being stabbed, while they were just stabbed in the source material. Scenes were also added showing the invading soldiers walking into the Sea of Sand.
  • In Episode 10, scenes were removed where Suou collapses after visiting Ouni and Kicha, and a scene showing Hasmurito and Rochalízo viewing the Mud Whale before setting foot on it. The scene with Orca, Itia, and Liontari was also moved to before Orca's trial, instead of after it.
  • In Episode 11, scenes were added with Atsali, and with Suou and Rochalízo. Orca and Arachni's trial also ended slightly differently. Scenes were cut involving Miru, Donti, Chasmourito, Foni and Fterna.
  • Episode 12 was given an original ending. In the original manga, the conversation where Suou asks Ouni to be the leader of the new community never happens.
