Byakuroku is the oldest person on the Mud Whale, and a former mayor of the island.

Personality

In his youth Byakuroku's personality was very simular to Chakuro's as he was very sweet, caring and emotional.

History

Byakuroku was the first peron born on the Mud Whale and when he was about 15-16 years old become friends with Miden after meeting him in Miden's room and finding out about how Dyo controlled Miden. When the people of the Mud Whale confronted Dyo about using the daimones to control the people, she ordered Miden to kill the people confronting her. Dyo throwes herself overboard and Byakuroku yells at Miden and attacks him with a spear and Miden lets him kills him. Miden telling Byakuroku that he needed to live, not him.

He later became major and stopped visiting Miden's room to write on the walls.

Much later when Taisha and Rasha had the visions of the Mud whale being attack he put in motion the plan to create a daimones, frist with experimenting on Shuan, than with creating Ouni with Major Taisha's sasa.

During volume 7 when Ouni had collapsed he came into the room and told people about how to needed to find Miden's room to save Ouni, but afterwards his condition declined and was not heard from again.

Relationships

Miden

They were friends, but Byakuroku had trouble understanding Miden and what he felt and his goals were.

Neri

Neri takes care of Byakuroku in his old age and was friends/sibling (it's not clear) with Miden.

• His name is a color in Japanese (白緑) meaning "light green".
