Rochalízo is a character in Children of the Whales. He is the fourth son of the Duke Amonlogia, King of Suidelasia. He and his crew stumble upon the Mud Whale after the attack by the Allied Empire and guide it to Suidelasia.
Appearance[]
Rochalízo has yellow hair with blue-green and orange stripes, despite it often appearing to have curls it is revealed later that he intentionally makes his hair this way to mimic his brother, though his hair is naturally straight. He also has heterochromatic eyes: his right eye is yellow, and his left eye is red.
Personality[]
Rochalízo has a flashy and haughty attitude at first glance. Arriving upon the Mud Whale Rochalízo condemns all it's citizens as beneath him, uncivilised and no better than monkeys, and vows to take them to Amonlogia to educate and rule them. Yet despite this attitude it soon becomes clear that Rochalízo has an inferiority complex, and has been made to feel as if he doesn't matter. Finding the Mud Whale, to Rochalízo, is his ticket to validation and acknowledgement from his father. During his time on the Mud Whale Rochalízo becomes increasingly less resistant to it's citizens and their way of life, even coming to enjoy himself and consider Suou as his friend.

He and the rest of his crew stumble upon the Mud Whale and attempt to annex it. However, they are easily defeated when Shuan takes their weapons using thymia.

- Most of his name comes from Greek words: ροχαλίζω (rochalizό) meaning "snore", αναστεναγμός (anastenagmós) meaning "sigh", and Αντίπατρος (Antípatros) meaning, "like the father".
